BENEFITING: SERVING HIS CHILDREN INC
Ugandan nurses are a crucial part of running our Malnutrition Rehabilitation Centers here in East Africa. Not only are they trained, but they speak the language, know of local diseases, and have that cultural "touch" unmatched by an outsider.
It takes three full-time nurses to staff our center in Masese, Uganda. So we got to thinking - why not give the nursing community in America a way to connect with those here? Nurses4Nurses (catchy, no?) gives the medical community back home an opportunity to connect with those here. When you give financially to this project, you're paying the salaries of our full-time nursing staff. To put it simply, you're saving lives.
A well-paid nurse in Uganda will make about $1700/year. This means for $5,100, we can staff our Masese center for the next 12 months. If you're a nurse, perhaps you could invite your co-workers to join you in helping us give jobs to Ugandan women who share your passion for helping people.
Feeling left out? It's okay, we aren't biased towards nurses. Even if you aren't in the medical field, we'll gladly accept your donation. We love you too. Not sure how much to give? Think of a small dollar amount in your head, say $5. Now, multiply that by the number of times we mentioned the word "nurse" in this post. Bingo. Better start counting.
