Jehu Howard & Family: LA Flood Relief Needed
Organized by: Abby Jones
August 22, 2016
Event Name: Live Nation - Taking Care of Our Own
Over the last few weeks Louisiana has been devastated by one of the worst storms seasons and flooding we have seen since Hurricane Katrina. Hundreds of thousands of Louisianians are left with no homes, jobs and the means to support themselves. Here at House of Blues New Orleans, one of our own has been dramatically effected. Jehu's family and his in-laws lost multiple homes and businesses. Jehu has brought in 11 additional family members and pets into his single family house that he lives in with his wife and two children. Over a course of a few scary days, when he couldn't even reach his loved ones and then was left with no way to physically get to them to bring them to safety, he has become the only means of financial support for all of them. This also comes during the slowest part of the New Orleans concert season where shifts are hard to come by. I am creating this campaign with the goal to help raise three months rent and expenses for Jehu to help take some of the financial burden off of his hands so he can continue to help his family. Please join our efforts to help reduce some of the stress from one of our own and assist in helping his entire family rebuild their livelihoods. Thank you for your consideration.
