Medical Insurance Payment
August 04, 2016
I feel so embarrassed asking for help. I'm the kind of person who wants to do everything myself but I think that has to change. I am a 62 year old Mom of three grown kids, who I love very much and still with my husband of almost 40 years.
I am a Christian and I love our Lord. I worked all my life and was able to retire from my Company after 30 years then I went on another 5 years working at another company.
All of 2006 and 2007 I kept going to the Doctor because my legs were not working right, I was so tired and fatigued I couldn't do anything, housework, cooking, none of the things I have always been able to do. Finally, I was diagnosed with progressive Multiple Sclerosis and went on Social Security Disability. I have Medicare and medical insurance from the company I retired from. Some years went by and I spent all my retirement on house payments, bills, and more medical bills. My husband was self employed so he didn't have anything to fall back on. He is not working. We have done what we could to keep our house.
But,this is about my medical bills and not my other problems.
A few months back i payed a payment late to my companys medical plan. They cancelled my insurance and I was unable to get my MS medicine (a shot that slows the progression of the disease)because its so expensive. Now, they are saying I must pay a little under $4000 to get reinstated. It can't be that much but they say they will get it all figured out and reimburse me if they owe me but they must have the amount they ask for by the 27th of July. I need my medicine.
My kids are broke and others in my family have tried to help but I'm just out of options. I have many medical bills that have gone to collections and more not in collections yet. I am just at the end of my rope and I need some help. God Bless You Sue
