THIS CAMPAIGN HAS BEEN CLOSED

Café Osita is a bright spot in the Gatewood neighborhood for a lot of us. When we arrived for our morning cup of coffee and conversation to find that, once again, the front door was broken, we felt, like many others in the neighborhood, like we wanted to do something!
If you're a regular, you may have encountered us there before - We are the Sturgeons, a homeschooling family who live nearby, and for us, Osita is so much more than just a place to get a good cup of coffee. We work there, hold class there, and learn from a wide variety of patrons who often have nothing more in common than that we are all regulars at Osita. Andrea and Mike are more than just the people who hand us our daily dose of caffeine - they've made this neighborhood into a family.
If you have been to Osita more than once or twice, you know what we're talking about. Osita has probably bought you a cup of coffee - on your birthday, on a bad day, sometimes just because - that's what they do. Now it's time to call on that family that Café Osita has made of this neighborhood and show our support and love. Donate the cost of a day's latte (or a week's worth or more!) to help cover the cost of repairs and losses and help pitch in to upgrade security at everyone's favorite coffee shop to keep this from happening again.
We realized, after this second burglary, that if Osita were to close its doors, we would all lose something special. Please donate today and share a memory from Osita in the comments. E-mail your Osita photos to us at email@example.com and we'll share them here on the CrowdRise page.
