On July 17th 2015 , Lazaro was hospitalized at Medstar Georgetown University Hospital in Washington DC due to serious conditions called Septicemia and Prostatitis. His blood pressure was shot down to dangerous numbers and encountered high fevers. He was immediately put on IV fluids and antibiotics and emergency colonoscopy and endoscopy were performed. A CT scan followed showing inflammation to the pelvic and groin area. Doctors were able to get him back to stable condition and was released from the hospital on 7/23/2015 in fair condition.
About the conditions : Acute prostatitis is a serious bacterial infection of the prostate gland. That very bacteria contaminated his blood stream causing him to have severe Septicemia, a dangerous blood infection.
Recovery time is expected to be 2-3 months with intensive care and rigid medications and countless doctor appointments and in-clinic procedures. He will eventually need surgery to evaluate his prostate when he's in better shape.
His job doesn't offer FMLA benefits and that will take a big toll financially to him and his husband.
Any donation in any amount is appreciated. Thank you in advanced and God Bless. Your prayers are working and God has Lazarito and his loved ones in his hands. Un abrazo grande.
