Raise the Roof Fundraiser!
Intertribal Friendship House (IFH) is a nonprofit organization located in Oakland’s San Antonio District that was formed in 1955 and is one of, if not the, oldest urban Native American community organization in the entire country. It was created in response the Urban Indian Relocation Act, a program in which the U.S. government relocated tens of thousands of Native Americans from reservations across the country into major urban cities. For over 62 years Intertribal Friendship House (IFH) has been a place to connect to Native culture and traditions.
Intertribal Friendship House owns it’s building and is responsible for all property improvements. IFH urgently needs to repair a roof. Your financial contribution will assist us in reaching our goal of raising $20,000 for the cost of the repair. We appreciate your contribution no matter how small or large. It directly enables us to successfully achieve our goal of our “Raise the Roof Campaign”. IFH contributes to the cultural diversity and enrichment of the City of Oakland and San Antonio District.
