Coach Andres Jaramillo Soccer Scholarships
Organized by: Andres Jaramillo
Kids that play organized competitive team sports develop important life skills such as discipline, resilience, self-reliance, and one of the best predictors of success in life: Grit. They also develop important social skills such as team-play, empathy, etc. Organized sports is one of the cheapest and most effective ways of addressing many developmental and behavioral problems in future adults, and one of the most joyous ways of improving a child's life. Unfortunately, many families cannot afford the costs inherent in participating in these organized sports: Uniforms, training fields, game fields, trainers, tournaments, equipment, team fees, and referee fees, etc. are often times unaffordable for the families that need it most. For this reason we have committed to raising $4,000 to sponsor as many kids as we can this year, through the American Youth Soccer Club (AYSC), a non-profit organization that supports teams, coaches, and players in the development of their missions, and Euro Club Teams, a competitve youth soccer academy in Los Angeles. One of the joys of coaching competitive youth soccer is watching the moral, psychological and personal development of the kids involved. It is a fact that kids that play competitive sports in a nurturing environment improve their grades at school, have lower rates of child obesity, much lower rates of truancy later in life, and parents report much better behaviors at home. Please help us sponsor a bunch of kids again this year. Thank you!
