Coaching Scholarships Change Lives!

It sucks to feel stuck. You may know something about this. It's worse, when you feel financially trapped - unable to move out of the box your in, because help feels too many dollars away.

When I was in that stuck and broke space, I was lucky enough to work with professionals who offered a sliding fee scale. They were able to do this, because they invited friends, family, and other clients (who knew the benefit of the work) to donate scholarship money. This made it possible for me to participate in regular coaching sessions and life-changing workshops at a fee I could afford.

That last part was important. I always had to pay something. My personal financial investment indicated a firm commitment to my own growth. No one was taking care of me - I was not offered a free ride. I had a responsibility to pay, just a bit less, so I could do the work.

As a professional coach, I too, have offered a sliding fee scale for folks in need. When I began, there was no easy platform for creating a scholarship fund, so the donations came from me - and that worked well enough.

Then I created the Costa Rica Retreat: Embracing Magic, a seven day personal growth adventure in Playa Chiquita, Costa Rica, and I started thinking about this scholarship idea more seriously. What if more people could experience the magic of the jungle, because there was a little bit of money available to make the trip doable?

After living in the jungle for two and a half weeks, inspiration found me, and I knew I'd been thinking small. A more dynamic model would be to start a scholarship fund for all of the work I do with people. From the one-to-one sessions, to group workshops, and an extended adventure, like Costa Rica.

And so, you are invited to participate. If you've experienced the benefits of coaching, you know the personal value. Maybe you're in a place now to follow the advice of Kevin Spacey, who says, "If you have done well in whatever business you are in, it is your duty to send the elevator back down and try to help bring up the next generation of undiscovered talent."

If you'd like to send the elevator back down, donate! Because when one life changes, the ripple effects are felt throughout the world. And you can be a part of spreading that goodness.

Thanks for your support!
