Coach Robert Landry Memorial Fund
Organized by: The Landry Family
Coach Robert Landry, a longtime friend, mentor and an incredible part of Holy Family School for decades, lost his battle to cancer on December 21, 2015. The Landry family has established a fund to be used to award student(s) at Holy Family School, based on criteria determined by the family, who demonstrated the best traits of Coach Robert. The fund may also be used to donate to charities special to Coach Robert in his name. Coach Robert began his 45 years of molding the youth of West Baton Rouge in 1970. As big as we know his smile and heart are, we also remember his sternness for the basics, conditioning and his competitiveness. How many times he must have said, “Up, spread ‘em, together, down!” Most of all we remember his passion for encouraging kids to do their best, whatever that was, staying positive, and his love of the game and the kids and families who crossed his path. The effect he has had over the years on countless numbers of student athletes will continue to be carried on with your help. Due to the time constraints of the holidays the fund is not considered a non-profit at this time so it will not serve as a tax deductible charitable donation. We hope to change that in the future!
