BENEFITING: NATIONAL EATING DISORDERS ASSOCIATION
EVENT DATE: Jul 06, 2016
Hi there, my name is Jordan and this summer I'm going to ride my bike across America in support of the National Eating Disorder Association! I'm a former student-athlete who struggled with an eating disorder for about 6 months, and continue to battle the effects of it still today, another 6 months later. The NEDA has been a great tool for me during this time, but there's very minimal funding that goes towards eating disorder outreach in relativity to the 30 million people who are diagnosed each year. This ride across America is my way of raising awareness and money for a non-profit that does all it can to help people who are fighting what can seem like an impossible battle to win. Together we are stronger, and together we can win these battles and prove that an eating disorder is not a limitation or a mark of weakness. So join me, please, in sharing a journey of strength, hope, and faith, and let's raise money for a cause that is capable of saving and improving the lives of so many people!
Donations to this page go directly to the National Eating Disorders Association. If you'd like to donate towards my trip expenses (i.e. Food, lodging, spare bike parts, etc.) please go to http://www.gofundme.com/jordankurtz.
