Cobb County Foster And Adoptive Parent Association Inc wrote -
The Association was created in 2004 by foster parents in partnership with the Cobb County Department of Family Services in an effort to provide training opportunities for our local foster parents. The State mandates that each foster parent receives 15 hours of training each year.
The Association has grown tremendously in the past 10 years and now consists of over 100 families who are members but others who attend our training as well. Our meetings not only provide the necessary training for our foster families but also create the opportunity for families to bond with other foster/adoptive families, for siblings who are separated during placement to spend time together, the children an opportunity to spend time with other foster or adopted children, gives the community opportunities to work with the children and families in different capacities.
