BENEFITING: A SOLDIERS JOURNEY HOME
EVENT DATE: Mar 12, 2016
About Cody On December 15, 2011 while on patrol serving in Afghanistan, Lance Corporal (LCpl) Cody Evans sustained multiple injuries and lost both legs while sweeping for IEDs. He has been waging a new battle ever since; one of regaining his health, one of learning to walk again, and one to create a new future for himself. LCpl Evans now attends Lincoln Memorial University in Harrogate, TN with plans of becoming a History Teacher. Life is a challenge for everyone, but it can be especially challenging for a returning soldier who finds basic mobility to now be a lifetime issue. A Soldier’s Journey Home is an organization committed to helping young adults who are faced with life-changing loss of mobility from traumatic events. Here’s how you can help! The mission is simple, find a worthy recipient, galvanize the community and have a call to action to build a home in 10 days! A Soldier’s Journey Home is devoted to building adapted homes for military members like LCpl Evans.
