As many of you know, Coen was diagnosed in January of 2016 with juvenile dermatomyositis. JDM causes her immune system to attack her muscles, making them weak. It also attacks her skin, causing painful blistering and rashes. Due to her incredible team at Lurie Childrens Hospital in Chicago, she has made great strides, and the Cure JM Walk will help raise both funds and awareness for this rare disease which affects only 3 children per million each year in the United States. While there is no cure for JDM, with donations given during this event, we can help fund important research so that one day, Coen and other kids with JDM can live full, carefree lives. Thanks for supporting Coen and our flight against JDM!
