BENEFITING: The Anna Schindler Foundation
ORGANIZER: THE IRONMAN FOUNDATION
EVENT: Your Journey Your Cause 2017
Everybody has their own personal story........ Weather its good, bad or indifferent, we all have one. Some are shorter than others and for those who are kids battling cancer it’s a sad struggle to survive on a daily basis with no control.
Most of you know that I completed Ironman in 2015 with the sole purpose of raising awareness and support for those who need help trying to make their stories a better and longer one.
With that being said, I decided that I was going to do it again one last time in 2018 at Ironman Coeur d'Alene. It would have been in celebration of my 40th birthday and possibly my last 140.6 full Ironman. With the sudden canceling of the event after this year I decided to step it up and do it this August in 2017 at the last minute. To do it for those kids and families in a way that they can benefit as well. Give me that extra drive and incentive to do it this year.
The amazing story of Anna and her family, along with all of the other families that battle with Pediatric Cancer! Truly amazing and wonderful people. My heart was truly touched. Having kids of my own, I could not imagine having to go through some of the struggles that some of the families do.
The foundation helps reduce some of those struggles. A group to help and be there for you. They help turn some of those short bad stories into stories with happiness and less stress. I have seen and heard them from so many families!
So now in 2017 not 2018 I will be competing in Ironman Coeur d'Alene for the Anna Schindler Foundation to help those battling and dealing with Pediatric Cancer. My wish is to raise over $3,000 from those who want to fight with me. Please help me with the fight and support. http://annaschindlerfoundation.org/
