I am training and racing for the Anna Schindler Foundation on the IRONMAN for Anna team. This opportunity has given me extra determination to complete one of the hardest races in the world. My goal is to raise $3000 for the ASF who supports families and children battling cancer.
The mission of the Anna Schindler Foundation is to support families battling childhood cancer and raise awareness in the Inland Northwest. We fulfill our mission by aiding these families with meals cards while their child is inpatient at the hospital, offsetting grocery, gas, car repair, lodging, living and medical expenses. We have even helped with the cost of burying a child. If a family has a need we will exhaust our efforts to lighten the load so they can focus on the care of their child. It is also a dream of the Anna Schindler Foundation to build temporary housing, Anna’s Homes, for pediatric oncology families from outlying areas who must stay close to Sacred Heart Children’s Hospital for treatment.Check us out: www.annaschindlerfoundation.org Several athletes are competing in the IRONMAN CDA 70.3 and 140.6 to raise money for families battling childhood cancer. We are grateful to IRONMAN FOUNDATION for this opportunity to race and fund raise in our community.
Thank you for helping me reach my goal!
Through The IRONMAN® Foundation's Your Journey, Your CauseTM program, athletes who already have an IRONMAN race registration have the opportunity to identify a non-profit beneficiary as part of their journey to become an IRONMAN and race for a cause. The IRONMAN Foundation has established a fundraising program that will provide registered athletes with all of the tools necessary to enable fundraising efforts while supporting the mission of their organization. Athletes can choose any recognized non-profit organization as the beneficiary of their fundraising efforts.
