EVENT: Your Journey Your Cause 2017
So here we are! Life is about choices....the ones you made, and the ones you didn't make. Competing in an Ironman has always been a goal of mine, and this is a step in that journey. I had never rode a road bike until 2 weeks ago. Training is offically full swing and I am welcoming the challenge with open arms. Even on the days I feel like it would be much easier to sit on the couch with a beer, i think about those kids in the real fight! It motivates me to want to better my self and help out where I can.
I work with Joe Schindler as a Firefighter and a few years ago I was blessed with my first child. Hearing Joe and Polly's story and what they went through with their beautiful daughter Anna, and now turning that into such a positive thing for other people especially the kids, truly is remarkable. It moves me, and i want to help out the familys having to face such harsh circumstances in anyway I can. I believe in the mission of this foundation and I truly believe it will touch and positivlely change people for years and years to come.
I am looking forward to the challeng of completing this half ironman, and raising what money I can along the way, along with spreading the good word of the Anna Schindler Foundation. I hope you will join me on this journey!

Several athletes are competing in the IRONMAN CDA 70.3 and 140.6 to raise money for families battling childhood cancer. We are grateful to IRONMAN FOUNDATION for this opportunity to race and fund raise in our community.
