Circle of Hope provides awareness, emotional support and hands-on help to individuals and their families coping with breast cancer and other illnesses in the Merrick-Bellmore-Wantagh area.
Some of the services which the Circle of Hope offers are:
*Support groups in a lovely homelike suite where patients form an educational network and connect with others undergoing similar treatments. For more information, click here.
*Educational health seminars for the community feature top specialists discussing the many preventive tests and options available to the community.
*Meals @ Home: Preparing meals can be especially challenging for someone going through chemotherapy treatments. Circle of Hope volunteers drop off a nutritious, Kosher meal for those who need it most.
*Cooking for Hope with Teens: Local teenagers get together and learn to cook various wholesome dishes which are then delivered to those who need it most. For more information, click here.
*Wig Bank where those losing their hair can choose a wig to wear during the course of their treatment.
*Complimentary eye makeup lesson, courtesy of Beautiful People Salon
*Financial assistance is given in many forms on a case by case basis-whether through insurance copays, transportation to/from the doctor and even summer camp scholarships for the children of patients.
Circle of Hope unites the community, bringing hope and encouragement to those who need it most, allowing them to overcome the challenges they face with confidence. All services are free and confidential.
Circle of Hope is a project of the Maimonides Educational Center/Chabad Center for Jewish Life.
