BENEFITING: CHANGE OF HEART PIT BULL RESCUE
We were able to fix 20 pit bulls at our last spay/neuter clinic (March 2013) with the help of our donors, but there were many pit bull owners who had to be turned away due to our lack of funds for this particular project.
Riverside County is currently attempting to pass a mandatory pit bull spay/neuter ordinance. While we support spay/neuter, we fear that such an ordinance will result in more pit bulls crowding our shelters. COHPBR would like to do our part by giving pit bull owners the opportunity to VOLUNTARILY fix their dogs at an affordable price instead of being forced to give them up simply because they cannot afford a $135 surgery.
