BENEFITING: Brigham and Women's Hospital
My name is Nicole Whitmore (Colie), I am 35 years old and have had MS for 11 years. I am a wife to my high school sweetheart Dave, and a working mother of two beautiful girls, Abby and Emily. This disease has been a challenge to say the least, more now than ever before. I raise money each year so that the situation I live with, and my family lives with, will NOT be the rest of our lives. As many people know, I have been actively raising funds and awareness for MS since 2004 - over $100,000 so far and I will not stop here. This year I have decided to raise funds for the Ann Romney Center at BWH because I believe that there is a benefit to pooling knowledge about different neurologic diseases. This should lead to discoveries more quickly than duplicating research and spending money on separate causes. I also feel fortunate to have the options that are available to MS patients currently and I would like that for other neurologic diseases as well. I am one of the “50 Million Faces”, please help me in my fight to find treatments, and ultimately a cure, for these five diseases. Thank you!
