My name is Colin Mock and I am fundraising for Team Joslin during the 2015 New York City Marathon. I myself am a patient at Joslin Diabetes Center in Boston, MA. I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes in 2007. At the time I was a sophomore in high school. Joslin did a great job with me transitioning from high school to college and now professional life and this is why I am eager to give back. Joslin has had a profound impact on my health and well being and I wouldnt be in the positon that I am today to run a marathon without their help and support. The advances they make in diabetes research are critically important to me and others affected by the disease. I am running this marathon to prove to myself and others that diabetes may be something that you have to live with, but it does not have to change how you live your life or the goals you strive to achieve, like running a marathon. Thank you so much for your support of Team Joslin.
