COLLEEN'S BA 5K AND 1 MILE FUN RUN/WALK
EVENT DATE: Jun 03, 2017
Colleen's BA 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk is an annual charity event established in memory of Colleen Mitchel, who was born with biliary atresia (BA) and died in 2013 at 19 years old from complications due to her liver disease, while awaiting a second liver transplant. Colleen attended Grace Episcopal Day School in Kensington, Walter Johnson (WJ) High School in Bethesda and the University of Michigan. Proceeds support organ donation awareness in our community and biliary atresia (BA) research at the Johns Hopkins Pediatric Liver Center in Baltimore, Maryland. Thanks for helping us reach our goal!
Note: The Colleen Mitchel Memorial Fund is a component fund of The Community Foundation for the National Capital Region (CFNCR), as such, all donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. CFNCR is a tax-exempt 501(c)3 organization.
