College Tuition to become a Police Officer
Organized by: Richard Robinson
So all my life I've looked up to police officers. I thought it would be cool to be one some day. As I grew older, I learned more about what a police officer does and grew to like the idea of being one more and more. I know I have a good heart and want to help people. I know the country needs more police officers like me. Ones who are willing to talk and actually listen to people in the community they serve. I wanted to become a police officer so much that I paid my own way through the police Academy at a local college. I graduated back in March and have found out that there is a lot of red tape in the hiring process for police departments. I took out loans to help pay for college tuition, car payments, and gas for me to go to school. My parents never taught me about managing my finances and I've had to learn on my own how hard it can be pay for schooling to better yourself. Now the bill collectors are calling and I haven't been hired yet. I've just completed the final steps of the hiring process but haven't heard back from the department yet. I want to be one of the good officer we desperately need right now in these dark times of police shootings. I want to help fix the problem we have from the side of the police. I just need help getting there. That is why I am asking for donations to pay back my loans so I can continue to pursue my goal of becoming a police officer. I vow that I will use any money I get to pay off debt collectors and, should I receive more than I need, to use the rest to better my community. Any excess will be donated to local charities that help the community. Please help me fix our country from the inside.
