DeAnna Pursai, Co-Founder and Executive Director
DeAnna is also the founder of Angels on Stage, a professional musical theatre troupe in San Jose comprised exclusively of children with differing abilities. She received her M.A. in Educational Policy Analysis from the University of Illinois - graduated magna cum laude. DeAnna has been a public school teacher exclusively at Title 1, low-income schools. She was a teacher, site literacy coach, district instructional coach, and summer school administrator in San Jose Unified from 2001-2009. She has been a CAA lead instructor since August of 2009 for Showboaters, digital photography, and student leadership & booster club facilitation.
DeAnna's unique talent for communicating her vision to others and motivating them to act on it has engaged hundreds of people in the Bay Area to support Angels on Stage and the College of Adaptive Arts. She lives in San Jose with her husband and two beautiful daughters and Henry Frumpkins.
