I am a 55 year old women who have just accomplished a Bachelor of Science Degree in “Science” with a minor in “Allied Health Administration”. I have always been a single mother and wanted to achieve the self-satisfaction of finishing my education to make my children proud. I am stepping out on faith by sharing this in hope of achieving some help as little did I know that my age and few quality life years left would prevent me from really being able to compete with the new age competition. However, I am so thankful and grateful for my new found job, and my own lifelong dream of being solely independent. I did not realize that the student loans would outweigh the need to totally feel free to enjoy the accomplishments of living this new found life at my age. I don’t own a house, nor do I want to own one at my current age; however, I would like to leave this world without owing the government as I am thankful for the opportunity to have achieved a higher education to be a more productive member of society. My prayer is that someone will read my plea, and see the honesty in my message, and choose to show mercy. My school loans total $47,000. I did not rationally think this through as the student loan payments far exceed monthly living expenses. Again, stepping out on faith as all through my life I had to struggle to make ends meet, and I wanted to do better. I pray that someone hear my plea, and God will touch your heart to help me. I know that there are so many deserving charities, and I promise that I am not a selfish person, but I am honest, thankful, and will be most grateful. Respectfully Martha
