Colorado Sled Hockey (CSH) is a premier sled hockey organization in North America. We are currently home to 5 teams, drawing players of all disablities from all over the state of Colorado. Our rosters include: three current mens Team USA Sled Hockey players, four previous gold medal paralympians, one current womens Team USA Sled Hockey player and three current mens Team USA Sled Development Team players. CSH teams are the proud winners of five National Championships, and three NHL Sled Classic Championships.
CSH is home to approximately 45 players throughout Colorado. These players range from nine to over 60, with a variety of disabilities: Spina Bifida, single & double amputees, cancer & stroke survivors, paraplegics, Cerebral Palsy, Oligodactyly to name a few.
What is sled hockey? Sled hockey was developed to give disabled athletes an avenue to participate in the game of hockey. Players sit in a bucket mounted frame, on two blades approximately 5 inches off the ice and use two half size sticks to propel themselves forward. While played differently, sled hockey has most of the same rules, and all of the same excitement. I encourage you to go to https://www.coloradosledhockey.org or google search sled hockey to see what sled hockey brings to these athletes.
