Recent wildfires in Colorado have burned over 600 homes, and left families homeless needing help to restore their lives. These fires have directly impacted our communities and the places we love. Co-workers of mine in the Colorado Springs area lost their homes and the smoke from the Waldo Canyon fire left members of my family with serious respiratory concerns.
I will be running my first full length Ironman in Louisville Kentucky on August 26th. I am going to do this event as a fundraiser to help families in the Colorado area impacted by these fires and who need our help and support. Proceeds go to the American Red Cross, Colorado Chapter and will help victims get back on their feet. Please help me by making a donation of $20 or more to this effort. I'll plan to keep a weekly blog over the coming weeks at http://ironmansol.blogspot.com/ to share more about my training progress and relief efforts following these historic wildfires.
