Come walk with me!

I'm raising funds for a girl who is not ready to back down in the face of death.
I remember that night, when my parents rushed me to a hospital in Colombo by a trishaw, with blood in my nostrils and tears in my eyes. Blood, because I'd reached a critical stage in Dengue; tears, because I could hear my mom sobbing.
What followed is mostly a blur in my mind, as I kept losing and gaining consciousness over a week. But I do remember one thing very clearly: I chose not to die.
I don't know this girl personally. I haven't met her personally. I don't have the remotest idea where she's coming from or what her aspirations are. But I know one thing: she's not backing up in the face of death. And that makes us kin.
We all make a choice: whether to cry or to laugh; whether to rise or to fall; whether to run or stand; whether to help or watch.
