BENEFITING: KIDNEY CANCER ASSOCIATION
My name is Alyce. I am married to a wonderful 47 year old man, Eric. In February we found out Eric has a very rare and incurable Stage IV Kidney Cancer. In June we found out it has indeed metastasized. His prognosis is very poor. We have amazing 9 year old twins, Adelaide and Harrison, and a beautiful baby girl Lorelei who is 15 months old.
My twins came up with an idea to make dad a quilt that would help him not be so cold. We thought we would ask all of dads friends and family to write or draw on a piece of fabric to make the quilt. Then I thought we could ask people he doesn’t know in real life, but people who are important to him. I want dad to know everyone, everywhere loves him and is hoping he will be o.k. It’s good to feel like I can do something to help out because so many times I’m not sure what I can do to fix dad’s cancer. He doesn’t know a thing about it, so I’m really excited!
P.S. The BEST BEST BEST surprise would be if Shania Twain came to our house and had lunch with Dad. He loves her. Not as much as he loves mom, but he loves her.
