Day 2 of Saving Pets Challenge
July 06, 2016
Community Cat Coalition of Clark County (C5) mission is to prevent cruelty to animals by protecting healthy free-roaming and feral cats in Clark County from cruel extermination methods and from non-medically directed euthanasia; this is accomplished through the implementation of a humane Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) program, management of outdoor cat colonies, and educational out-reach.
To date C5 has TNR'd over 25,000 feral and stray cats however much more work has to be done. An estimated 200,000 feral and stray cats live in Las Vegas. Our efforts thus far have made a significant difference on the number of feral and stray cats euthanized at the local shelter. In 2009, the shelter euthanized 18,500 cats and in June 2016 euthanasia numbers were down by 75%.
If C5 was to win the grand prize of $50,000, we could TNR 1,600 more feral cats! So please consider donating to C5. We are a small non-profit doing big things for the feral cats, the colony caretakers and our community.
