At any given time during the year, Community Social Services of Wayne County's Teen Infant Parenting Services (TIPS) progam has up to 32 children residing with their mothers in our transitional housing facility. The family is homeless and the resides in the apartment like setting facility for up to two years. While living in the facility, children need a fun, safe place to play. They need a place where they can run, skip and jump; where they can soak up the afternoon sun; ride on a swing and imagine they can fly; where they can climb on a jungle gym and attempt to touch the sky and where they can jump up and down and shout HOORAY! Help us build a playground at CSSWC's transitional housing facility.
Community Social Services of Wayne County's (CSSWC) Teen Infant Parenting Services (TIPS) program is a transitional housing program with the capacity to serve 16 mothers and their children (up to 2) in an apartment style setting. The comprehensive program provides a variety of support services including parenting education, basic life skills, individual and group counseling, support for completion of high school and career training.
