BENEFITING: ThornCreek Christian School
As a parent there is nothing I wouldn’t give to provide for my children. After my relationship with Christ and my wife they are my everything. Three years ago I was blessed with the opportunity to become the girls’ basketball coach at Community Christian School and enroll all 4 of my children here. In that time my kids’ lives have changed dramatically. Not just the academic gains they have made but more importantly the spiritual growth has been tremendous. My 7-year-old is praying for pastors all throughout the world, praying for his teachers, his school and lifting people up at times throughout the day. Their hearts have grown for Jesus and the love he has for them is being conveyed to others through them.
In this short three-year span, my role here at Community Christian School has expanded as well and God has stretched me beyond anything I could have ever imagined. I went from simply coaching basketball to becoming full time athletic director and teaching a high school leadership class. God has blessed me with the position to mentor an amazing group of kids ages Pre-K through 12 on a daily basis. Having the opportunity to see these kids grow in their passion for Jesus on a daily basis has been more than I could ever ask for. If only you could see the love these kids have for Jesus!
Unfortunately, the church that we have been housed in for the past 25 years has decided that they are moving in a different direction and no longer want to be a part of Community Christian and the vision we have for North Metro Denver and its youth. While we may not completely understand their position we respect it and have been blessed to be here for the past 25 years. As a staff we are tremendously excited about seeing what door God will open for us in the very near future.
That being said, we are in need of a miracle and are asking for your help. Our Board of Directors is currently out looking for a new building for us to call our home. However, it does seem to be a slight catch 22. We need more students to get a new building, and need a new building to be able to enroll more students. This is where you become our Super Hero. We need your help in funding our move and keeping the doors open for the 120 students we currently have for them to continue to strive for Jesus and grow in their faith to stand firm as they enter the world.
We are looking for 500 people to give a year-end tax deductible gift of $1000.00 to help us secure the location that God has in store for our school. We are confident that this is simply God's way of opening up a new door for our school, so that he can bless this community with the gift of his sons love now and for many years to come.
We have faith and hope here at CCS. Our faith is in Jesus and our hope is in you! God Bless and have a Very Merry Christmas.
