THE STORY:
Nationally, more than 123,000 people are waiting for an organ transplant. At least 22 will die each day without receiving one, including two from our region.
The mission of Team Pittsburgh Transplant is to broaden awareness of organ and tissue donation by increasing donor registration. Through attending the Transplant Games of America, Team Pittsburgh Transplant educates the community about the wonders of donation. Our relay runners of donors and recipients are living proof!
