Dave and Jerry are gearing up for their first ever GORUCK Heavy event and Doug is returning for more fun (and pain)! We chose an event that would challenge our physical and mental toughness and push us to our limits. We're 100% committed to raising funds for the National CMV Foundation and to making it through this 24+ hour event. We hope that you will support us in raising money for a great cause.
The National CMV Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting awareness, providing access to resources, and sharing prevention information to help eliminate congenital Cytomegalovirus (CMV). Cytomegalovirus is a common virus that can infect anyone at any age. In fact, you or a loved one might be carrying the virus right now without knowing it because the symptoms are rarely shown in healthy immune systems. However, CMV can cause serious infections and complications among adults and children with weakened immune systems and, like Evelyn, among babies infected before birth. It's important that we boost awareness of CMV and support research for prevention, treatment, and hopefully, a cure!
We are taking the Spyteks up on their challenge to Compete4CMV. Together, let’s raise funds for the National CMV Foundation. Will you please help us? Thank you!!!
P.S. In lieu of bricks, for this event Dave's ruck will be weighted with the steel plate (pictured to the left) created in honor of Evelyn Grace.
