BENEFITING: Tools for Peace
Last year, 2014 on the United Nations Day of Peace, Sept. 21, we staged a very successful "Concert for Peace" in Studio City, California. The music was inspirational and designed to get people to remember what they said they would do as they listened to the music in its original form. Work for peace, fight injustice, push for equality and civil rights. The event was funded by Chet Yokoyama a local holistic dentist who formed the group and plays guitar in the band. His goal is to give back to the community. The Complete Actors Place is a large space with a stage and tables and chairs much like a 100 seat, night club. The show included songs from the Musical "Hair," a stiring version of Bob Dylan's "Blowin in the Wind," and a lively Reggae version of the Beatles "Let It Be." A moment of silence was observed at the time corresponding to the International Moment of Silence. The event raise close to $500.
