Ainsley's Angels is super excieted to partner with Athlete Conlan again! You might recall our efforts in 2014 to get him a Freedom Push chair! This year his is upping his game and will be competing in a Triathlon!
Here are the details, as written by his Mom:
Please consider making a donation towards The Duet Bike, a specially adapted bike that would allow Conlan to not only go on his first bike ride EVER, it would also allow him to particpate in a special needs Triathlon for United Cerebral Palsy!!! Conlan is a 6 year young little boy who was born into this world fighting at 29 weeks and hasn't stopped fighting since! Conlan is diagnosed with spastic quadriplegic cerebral palsy, PVL (cysts on brain) and has recently began the battle against Epilepsy which has been his hardest fight yet. Conlan is non ambulatory and not able to stand, walk, situp, etc... without maxium support. Recently Conlan was entered into a contest to win an adapted bike and when he didnt end up winning a special set of angels step forward and want to help fundraise because every little boy deserves to ride a bike! This will not be possible without the random acts of kindness from others. Between endless hospital stays and surgeries, doctor appts. and therapy The Duet Bike would give Conlan a reason to smile again, be free and have fun!! It even doubles as a wheelchair once we reach a location and would last Conlan into adulthood! At the age of 3 Conlan began regressing and lost ALL speech, lost all potty training, lost the ability to grasp objects and control arm and leg movement and lost many more abilities. Unfortunately, Conlan will never be able to ride or peddle a bike in a way that will get him distances or explore his surroundings. Please help us give Conlan the gift of MOBILITY and INCLUSION! It will also be the first time Conlan goes on a bike ride with his little sister!!! All donations are tax refundable and I can not express how thankful we are and what it will be like to see Conlan SMILE his beautiful and contagious smile! I realize our goal is large, this is out of my hands and I have to have HOPE and FAITH! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SUPPORTING A SPECIAL BIKE FOR MY SPECIAL BOY! GIVE A LITTLE - CHANGE A LOT!
