EVENT DATE: Oct 11, 2014
I am excited to run in my 3rd NU Hartford 5k with Team Connecticut Childrens. This race supports Connecticut Children’s Medical Center in their mission to improve the physical and emotional health of children through family-centered care, research, education, and advocacy. Your contributions will allow Connecticut Children’s to invest in the resources, technology and state-of-the-art equipment that define their exceptional care. With each donation, I will be helping to give the children and families of our region the assistance they deserve. I have set my fundraising goal at $1,500 and hope to exceed this amount in raising money to run the 5K on October 11, 2014. Although October 11th may seem far away, it is fast approaching, and with my hopes to exceed my goal I am starting to raise money early on. Last year my generous friends and family helped me raise over $1,500 for CCMC and the year before we raised a little over $1,000. Please join me in my mission to exceed last year's contributions! I am especially excited for the race this year as this is the third year I will be running with my dad.
When I was 10 years old I co-founded a non-profit organization dedicated to improving our world, specifically cleaning up our polluted oceans. The organization, 2 Girls Wake Up The World, raised approximately $5,000. Today, I am once again devoted in making our world a better place. I realize that it is not only important to help our world, but it is also crucial to help the people living in our world. The Children's Medical Center affords children with the very best medical care and helps to provide them with a swift recovery.
Please help Connecticut Children's be the largest official charity of the NU Hartford Marathon again this year. It is quick and easy to make a donation to this wonderful charity. Simply click the orange donate button (in the upper right hand corner) to make an online donation.
On behalf of myself and CCMC, thank you for your support.
