Friendship Walks is back again for its second Annual walk-a-thon! Our first walk was a huge success so we are back to do it again! Lace up your sneakers, walk more steps, bring a friend, make a gift to end elder isolation. I know we can do it! It will raise awareness of the power of friendship and more importantly raise critical funds to support our programs! FriendshipWorks’ programs aim to reduce isolation and provide friendly support and assistance to the elders we serve; including one-on-one friendly visits, medical escorts, friendly helpers, music events and friendly pet visits.
It is my pleasure to be walking from our main office in Chinatown to the Brighton Office (+5miles) to raise funds for our programs with FriendshipWorks. As many of you know I have been a volunteer for over 18 years and have been Chairing the Board for the last two years and am really committed to the mission of FriendshipWorks. I walk for my friends who I missed dearly; Norma, Evelyn, and Mary as well as my recent two friends who I help throughout the year, Michelle and Patricia. I have had so many lovely memories with my time spent with FriendshipWorks and I know you will support me in reaching my goal……..or surpassing it!!
Thank you for starting me on my journey to May 21st!!
