THE STORY:

First I have to say none of this is possible without the support of my wife katie , my brothers Tyler and Todd, my mother and father and my children Madison and Logan. Eventhough I have reached the destination it important to remember life is about the journey and appreciating people in your life.

I can’t describe how amazing it felt to have qualified for the IRONMAN World Championships on October 10, 2015 in Kona, Hawaii. But as I finished my brother and father came racing over to me to tell me my daughter Madison had been rushed to the hospital at the beginning of the race by my wife Katie to have an emergency appendectomy. I spent the night sleeping on the floor next to her. On the plane ride home she put her head on my shoulder and said "Dad you gotta get back here next year so Katie and I can actually watch you race and finish." How do you you say no to your children that you love. I had to remind her that it takes alot of work and I am not guaranteed a spot. Well through hard work and great suport from Mission Fitness, Family Bike, Olender's Automotive Repair, United Concrete, Headblade, Gerry Home Improvements, Steve Lewis Subaru and Torrison Stone and Garden I did qualify at Ironman Mont Tremblant.   Being a Physical Education teacher and an IRONMAN is an incredible combination. Being a role model in the classroom I can show students that if you want something and you are willing to dedicate yourself and work hard then anything is possible. Ironman race just like life their are other people working hard to get what you want as well and that things are not given but earned. Again a sincere thanks to Mission Fitness, Family Bike, Olender's Automotive Repair, United Concrete, Headblade, Gerry Home Improvements, Steve Lewis Subaru and Torrison Stone and Garden for their continued support!
