BENEFITING: Nourish International
ORGANIZER: Nourish International
Chapter: Cornell and UPenn
Partner Organization: Arajuno Road Project
This year the Cornell and University of Pennsylvania Nourish Chapters and Arajuno Road Project are working with a small community in the outer Amazon Jungle, expanding community gardens, developing a greenhouse, as well as teaching English and health education classes.
This year we will be traveling to the Ecuadorian Amazon to support a rural school and community in Puyo. Arajuno Road Project is committed to providing English language education to children in the schools who lack the educational resources and opportunities of their urban counterparts, so we will be helping teach English and health education classes. Additionally, we will focus on developing a greenhouse, expanding community gardens, and working on a forest conservation initiative to further support the community and the intergrity of the Ecuadorian Amazon.
This will be our second year working with the Arajuno Road Project. This non-profit supports children and their families by working on community development and conservation programs in the Ecuadorian Amazon.
