BENEFITING: CORO CENTER FOR CIVIC LEADERSHIP
ORGANIZER: CORO CENTER FOR CIVIC LEADERSHIP
EVENT DATE: Apr 20, 2013
So, Coro has come to mean a lot in my life, particularly because of the opportunity to meet so many incredible, supportive members of the community. Throughout interviews, placements, networking opportunities, and social events, I have been fortunate enough to meet many engaged, passionate members of the Pittsburgh community. As a part of the Coro Fellows Class of 2013, I am thankful for the countless opportunities I have had throughout this leadership journey.
Now, my class and I have set our sights on Washington D.C.! That's right, we are in the midst of planning a week-long trip to D.C. in May for our last focus week on National Affairs! We will immerse ourselves in national public policy initiatives, including healthcare, education, and environmental concerns. Traveling to DC can be pricey in general, and we're raising money for all 12 of us. With your help, we can definitely get there! If you can, please take a moment to donate to our fundraiser. Every dollar gets us one step closer to the Washington, D.C. where we can take our study of policy initiatives to the national level! If finances are tricky, then send a word of encouragement our way, or even just help spread the word to your friends who may not know what Coro is.
Either way-- thank you for supporting us in our journey!

We are Coro Pittsburgh.
We foster the leaders, who spark the transformations that make Pittsburgh thrive.
Enable lasting change. Sometimes it’s hard to feel like you’re really making a difference, like your efforts are worth something. That’s why at Coro Pittsburgh, we invest in a renewable resource: Leaders.
It takes all of us. Diverse perspectives are vital to innovation. Through a regimen of experiential learning and whole system thinking, we create a space for people of every sector, age, gender, race, neighborhood and status to learn and cultivate their leadership qualities.
Contribute greatness. By supplying many different organizations with the invaluable resource of diverse, well-connected, highly adaptive leaders, Coro Pittsburgh strengthens communities and builds our region’s capacity to address our most critical challenges.
Real people real change. Coro programs allow participants the opportunity to explore professional and leadership opportunities while conducting an individual strategic plan for their own growth as leaders.
Be part of the transformation. Coro Pittsburgh: growing leaders, strengthening communities.
The Coro Fellows in Public Affairs Class of 2013 is fundraising for their trip to Washington D.C. for National Affairs week. The Fellows will be immersing themselves in exploring public policy at the national/international level on topics such as Education, Healthcare, the Environment, Women in Washington, etc.
But we need your help to get there! By donating to the Coro Fellows fund, you will be contributing to furthering the mission of Coro Pittsburgh, to advance ethical and effective leaders who share a commitment to civic engagement.
Each Fellow has a goal of strengthening our communities, both at the local and national level. Help us continue to do so by donating today.
