I’m asking you to continue your support and provide an opportunity for this year’s Fellows to participate in National Affairs Week in Washington D.C. This trip will give us the opportunity to interview and shadow top decision-makers in D.C., learn how federal policy affects the state and local levels of government, and cultivate a working relationship with the Coro Pittsburgh Fellows that has already commenced as we’ve been planning for the upcoming week. The process of creating learning goals and outcomes and working with our counterparts in Pittsburgh to achieve them throughout this week of Fellow-led seminars and events is an irreplaceable experience that can only enhance our Coro experience in it’s entirety.
This year’s National Affairs Week will allow us to delve into the areas of Civil Rights and Social Justice, Workforce Development, Environmental Policy, and Foreign Policy.
Our fundraising goal is $12,000. The trip is from May 6-10. Your support with this endeavor is critical in making our dream a reality.

The Coro Fellows in Public Affairs Class of 2013 is fundraising for their trip to Washington D.C. for National Affairs week. The Fellows will explore topics including: Workforce Development, Social Justice, Foreign Affairs, and the Environment, in order to augment their learning on both a national and international scale.
We need your help to get there! By donating to the Coro Fellows fund, you will be contributing to furthering the mission of Coro Southern California, to advance ethical and effective leaders who share a commitment to civic engagement.
Help us continue to do so by donating today. Every dollar helps. We ask for a contribution of $25 to send us to D.C.!(Of course, if you want to add some zeros to that then feel free!) Don't drink Starbucks for a week, forget about that Big Mac (summer is just around the corner anyway). Reach into those generous pockets and give! Because sharing is caring. :)
