EVENT DATE: May 01, 2011
jason kurdziel wrote -I am very excited to share with you that on May 1st, I will be running the Long Island Half Marathon. I have always been interested in running a marathon, but in the noise of life, I just never got it together. Well, this is my time, and what’s worth doing is worth doing for a good cause.
I have recently become personally interested in a rare but disabling disorder called Agenisis of the Corpus Callossum (“AGCC”). AGCC is brain malformation that does not allows one half of the brain to transmit information to the other. There is no current cure.
My goal is to raise $1500 for The National Organization for Disorders of the Corpus Callosum, a nonprofit corporation committed to understanding corpus callosum disorders. Its mission is to enhance the quality of life and promote opportunities for individuals with disorders of the corpus callosum and raise the profile, understanding and acceptance of these disorders through research, education, advocacy and networking. Their website is http://www.nodcc.org/
Donations of any size are greatly appreciated.
