Homelessness is a circumstance of poverty. COTS serves more than 800 people daily; one-third of those we serve are children.
COTS’ Family Shelter helps families by providing services and introducing resources that help them to build a healthy and stable family life.
On January 1, 2015, COTS launched Passport to Self-Sufficiency™. This methodology is a gradual adoption within COTS’ overall agency, beginning with the Emergency Shelter. This model assists families in reaching their housing, economic, health, education and career goals through coaching, mentorship and support as they strive to overcome homelessness and break the cycle of poverty for the next generation and beyond.
COTS meets both general and specific needs of men, women and children whom the agency serves through its programs and services. All donations made to COTS are made as unrestricted gifts and COTS reserves the right to use funds raised for purposes other than described.
