BENEFITING: PRINCE WILLIAM SOCCER INCORPORATED
In 1976, a small group of parents from Eastern Prince William County began with a dream to provide their kids with an opportunity to play the fastest growing youth sport in the country. Throughout the last 40 years, PWSI has been a leader in our community for being more than just a soccer club. It’s an organization that aspires to make a difference in the community. Our core values of Pride, Passion, and Possibility drive us to inspire our players to reach their potential both on and off the field.
In 2000, Prince William Soccer, Inc became the first youth sports organization to partner with Prince William County to install lights at Howison Homestead Park. The “Let There Be Lights” capital improvement campaign was established to help fund the project. In 2006, the first synthetic turf field in Prince William County at Howison Park was installed to maximize the investment on the lights. Now, 15 years later, PWSI is “Celebrating The Past, Envisioning The Future” with a new effort to improve our existing facilities and enhance future projects already approved.
Phase 1 Goal
The first phase of this campaign has a goal of $500,000 and will be dedicated to making facility improvements at Howison Park. This is dedicated to the replacement of synthetic grass and fencing on Field 2 at Howison Park. Aside from renovating Field 2, we will also incorporate a walking path around the park so that parents can walk and run safely along with a public WIFI network for our members to connect to while at the park.
