EVENT DATE Jul 12, 2015

THE STORY:

In the summer of 2014, Mackenzie and Kendall visited a youth conference called CIY MOVE and felt called by God to visit The Rapha House in Cambodia and spend time with the young women there. The Rapha House is a safe-house for young women who have been in sex slavery. This place allows them to heal and learn new job skills so that they can restore their lives and support themselves. Mackenzie and Kendall want to meet these girls and encourage them through the word of God, and also see the reality of sex slavery and raise awareness about it. In order to fund this trip to Cambodia, they are giving up each of their birthdays so that all the money and gifts they would receive would instead be used for that. Also, just like the women in The Rapha House, they are tapping into their creative side and making and selling headbands that are made from recycled t-shirts. With both of these fundraisers, in addition to Crowdrise.com, they hope to reach their goal of $9,000 and send Mackenzie, Kendall, and Mackenzie's mom Tonya to Cambodia.
