I wanted to share with you all that on March 12th I have committed to running my first half marathon, The Rock and Roll Marathon, in Washington D.C in memory of Andrew Accardi, the younger brother of a dear friend of mine. Andrew passed away at the young age of 20 after a 15-year battle with Neuroblastoma, a common form of pediatric cancer. Throughout his memorable life, Andrew continuously balanced his demanding classes and extracurriculars with an exhausting schedule of treatment and hospital visits. Andrew’s noble character is perhaps best displayed by his creation of Andrew’s Army in 2007, a charitable organization that has raised over $2,000,000 for pediatric cancer research.
I will be running on March 12th to raise money for pediatric cancer research inspired by Andrew's strong and noble character and his commitment to find a cure. Please find the link below to donate to "Andrew's Army" and help find a cure to put an end to Neuroblastoma.
If you would like help our cause please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Of course, we want to inform as many people as we can about Andrew’s Army, so we ask that you please LIKE and SHARE our Facebook page www.facebook.com/FightForAccardi
Andrew wanted to make a difference in this world, and now in honor of him, we must come together in order to accomplish his goal.
