This is for my cousin: My uncle was a Korean War Veteran. He was very sick the last 15 years of his life. Being unable to work due to his seizures, my cousin moved in with him to take care of him. He loved him like a father and my uncle loved my cousin like a son. When he passed, he left his home to my cousin, he loved his home. Two years ago my cousin's wife left him and discontinued his health insurance. I just found all of this out. I filed an application for health insurance for him. He filed for Social Security Disability as he now has other critical health issues as well. He was denied SSD and I am trying to help him do an appeal. In the meantime he is losing the house because he can’t pay the property taxes, he has no income and not much help. When I asked him why didn't he reach out for help, he broke down and cried and said he didn't want to be a burden on anyone. He then said:"The most important thing to me right now is to save my uncle’s property that he entrusted to me. Every day it's killing me that I'm losing his house. I do need help, I guess just I just don't know how to ask."
