Lynne Burke

After seeing first hand her neighbor pass away so quickly at age 13 of brain cancer, and seeing so many children fighting for their lives from this terrible disease, and knowing only 4% of funds raised goes to children's cancer research, Peytyn knew she had to do something. She wanted to use her design skills to put together a show to help raise money for this cause.

The Couture for the Cure Charity Fashion Show will be held on Sunday, April 2, 2017 at the Wyndham Sterling Heights Inn, 34911 Van Dyke, Sterling Heights, MI 48312 from 2pm – 4 pm. There will be a VIP Red Carpet Event for our models and Designers. This fashion show is the first ever produced show by an 9 year old and will feature Pageant Girl Designs as well as other designers, local and around the US. The show itself will promote many local businesses and will have a huge media coverage.

Girl Designs began in January, 2016, after the owner/designer, Peytyn Herron, at just 8 years old, walked in her very first fashion show and decided that she wanted to try to design her own line of Pageant dresses. She was signed up for a Model Boot Camp, run by the Live Out Loud Charity and was discovered by the Director, Sherrie Gearheart and was asked to showcase her designs at the April Charity Fashion Show in Chicago. Not only was Peytyn chosen to showcase her designs, she was also chosen to be the showstopper designer and close the show. Since then, Peytyn has showcased her designs in Canton, Detroit, Miami, and most recently, NYFW. Peytyn has models all over the United States who have walked for her and receives requests every day from girls wanting to walk for her. She is quickly becoming known in the Fashion Industry, especially in the Pageant World. Peytyn just won two Oscar Documentary Awards for Michigan’s Youth Designer of the Year and Youth Model of the Year, given out by RCCI of Chicago (Red Carpet Concierge International). Peytyn also holds several Beauty Queen titles. She is the reigning Miss Michigan Princess, Junior Miss Michigan, Miss International Role Model and former Little Miss Michigan Amazing 20167. Peytyn is also the editor of her new magazine, written for and about pageant girls and models, called Pageant Girl and Model Magazine. In her spare time, she is a third grader in the Troy Public Schools. Her goal is to make a difference in someone’s life, whether it be helping to raise money for her favorite charity, A Mission of Love, or being an inspiration for other girls and boys to follow their dreams, no matter what their age is!
