BENEFITING: EPILIPSY FOUNDATION OF EASTERN PA
My name is Blair Hagelgans and I am a 19-year-old sophomore at York college of PA. I was diagnosed with Epilepsy in 2009, but was having complex partial seizures two years prior. I have had two laser ablation, brain surgeries for my epilepsy, and I suffer from many other neurological and spinal cord conditions.
I am pairing up with the Epilepsy Foundation of Eastern PA (EFEPA) to raise money to make tie fleece blankets for pediatric patients hospitalized for neurosurgery or long term epilepsy monitoring units.
I have been in and out of hospitals my whole life and know what it is like when people you don't even know come in to visit you and give you something as small as a blanket. Being in the hospital can be very lonely and boring and it always made my day when people came in to visit or organizations donated items to make your hospital stay a little nicer. These kids go through so much and I want them to know that they are not alone in their fight and I wanted to give back.
Thanks to the following groups with helping in advertising, fundraising, and blanket making I am able to run this campaign.
