BENEFITING: CHINESE AMERICAN PLANNING COUNCIL INC
ORGANIZER: CHINESE AMERICAN PLANNING COUNCIL INC
EVENT DATE: Aug 03, 2014
CPC is celebrating our 50th Anniversary of "People Helping People"!
This summer I am interning at the Chinese-American Planning Council (CPC), a non-profit organization located in Chinatown. CPC is one of the largest organizations providing social services to Asian-Americans in the country. It offers a huge range of social services to immigrant communities, ranging from child care to senior citizen centers to workforce development programs.
The main project I will be working on this summer, along with 5 other amazing interns, will be the biannual CPC Walkathon and Family Fun Day. This community event rallies to support the wide range of social service programs that are offered by CPC. It ensures we have resources to provide strong social services and continue programming in innovative ways. In addition to reaching our fundraising goal of $200,000, we also hope to increase awareness of the all essential services and programs that CPC provides.
Any donation to the cause would be greatly appreciated and extremely helpful; no matter how big or small!
And join us August 3, 2014 at 9am (Columbus Park, Chinatown) to walk and show your support for our community!
